The Lightbearers Available on Kindle

As you probably already figured out, I’m a huge supporter of locally owned, independent bookstores. FoxTale Book Shoppe in Woodstock, Georgia, has been supportive of my work since the first Lightbearers book was published, and The Blue Giraffe in Watercolor, Florida, joined The Lightbearers community with the second book, Found.

While it thrills me to no end to see actual copies of my books in the hands of readers, or on shelves or coffee tables in unexpected places, I also understand that many readers prefer electronic versions for a variety of reasons (easier to carry, always have it with Affirmation Series picyou, etc.), so the first four books in the AFFIRMATION series is now available on Kindle!

Of course, it is my hope that you’ll love it so much that you want a signed copy to keep in your collection. In that case, please contact your local independent bookseller and ask them to order a copy for you. I’ll have bookplates available later this year that I can send to you to affix to your paperback versions.

Book 5 (REUNION) is more than half finished, and there are some fun Lightbearers-AFFIRMATION surprises in store in 2016.

Keep Shining!

The Lightbearers: INTUITION is here!

“It was a dark and stormy night…” when The Lightbearers: INTUITION (aka “Book 4”) launched at FoxTale Book Shoppe on October 1.

Thanks to those who braved the weather and traffic to join us for the party. There Intuition cover 2015was book cover-themed cake, Grifone wine, and spirited conversation (ahem!), as well as a read-aloud preview of two of my favorite passages.

For those of you who have not yet delved into this latest book in the series, don’t worry – FoxTale is keeping plenty of copies on the shelves.

If you plan to visit the Florida Panhandle over Thanksgiving Weekend, visit me at The Blue Giraffe, where I’ll be signing copies on Saturday, November 28, from 2-4 pm. The folks at The Blue Giraffe are celebrating their 5-year anniversary that weekend, and I’m grateful that they are allowing me to share their party!

Heartfelt thanks to all of you who have made a place for The Lightbearers Books on your reading lists and bookshelves. And those of you who have not yet dipped your toes into the intriguing waters of these inspiring beings… I invite you to join us!

Book Five – “Reunion” – will be out next year. In the meantime… Keep shining!

“The Lightbearers: Fealty” Launches August 1

It is always exciting to launch a new book, but I find it especially fun to meet the readers Fealty Official Coverwho have waited patiently (okay – that’s a stretch) as the next book emerges from the depths, finds its way to publication, and becomes available to take home.

On Friday, August 1, “The Lightbearers: Fealty” (aka “Book 3”) launches at FoxTale Book Shoppe in Woodstock, Georgia. The folks at FoxTale have been so supportive, and have hosted the launch parties for each book in the series.

This time, I will take part in a special “Friday Night Live” event, during which several authors and poets will present their latest works, so we will all be introduced to new stories, styles, and special people – you know, the ones who spend hours toiling over every word to ensure you enjoy reading the story as much as they (we) do giving birth do it!

I hope you’ll join us Friday night at 6:30 pm. And if you’ve never visited FoxTale Book Shoppe before, you’re in for a treat!

FoxTale is located at 105 East Main Street #138, Woodstock, GA 30188. 770-516-9989.

Happy Year of the Horse!

The Chinese New Year began today, Friday, January 31, 2014, ushering in the Year of the Horse.

I was born in the Year of the Horse, which may explain my affinity for horses, as well as the incredibly long relationship I shared with one horse in particular, Wenways Brat, whom I lost in 2012.

Over the past two years, I have been compiling tidbits and stories about Brat, and what I learned as someone who was fortunate enough to share her life from her infancy through her last breath.

Two years ago, I mourned her loss and paid tribute with a daily Twitter series called, “Lessons From My Horse.” This year, I will combine the tidbits, stories, and lessons in a memoir.

If you’ve read The Lightbearers Books, you know that I believe in Serendipity – that life places little hints and clues for us that let us know we are on the right path. It is no coincidence, then, that Brat’s life will be celebrated and commemorated in 2014, The Year of the Horse.

Your comments and feedback are welcomed and appreciated. (And, yes, the third book in The Lightbearers series is nearing completion, and will be available soon!)

     Keep shining!

Fond Farewell to a Divine Destination

It is the mark of a rare business when individuals from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs feel welcome enough to call that shop “home.” But that’s what the Meditating mantis 3Mantis has been for so many – a comfort, a haven, a place to both learn and to simply “Be.”

On Sunday, Airathia and Michael led two incredible Guided Meditation sessions, featuring Chakra Chimes, Tibetan Bells and Gemstone Bowls, for Clearing, Balancing and Happiness.

The beautiful sense of peace experienced by all who attended also served as a fond farewell to the Meditating Mantis, and as a heartfelt wish for healing for Mantis owner and founder Connie Taylor.

This lovely little oasis in the heart of Historic Roswell has served as a gathering place where people of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds could feel at peace as they focused on acceptance, gratitude and love.

We will miss The Meditating Mantis, and wish the best for Connie as she embarks on her mantis logoretirement.
